Giuseppe Gallace (Soverato, 1993) lives and works in Turin. He trained at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts, where he received his master’s degree in Painting in 2021. He has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions in independent, institutional and private settings in Italy and abroad. His works are part of private and public collections.

His research moves within the framework of an evocative and ambiguous painting typical of Magic Realism, questioning the space of vision and memory through a sensitive and layered language. His works arise from a balance between imagination, visual memory and design construction, often organized in series but always autonomous in pictorial resolution. The image develops as a suspended event, with a strong visual tension, without ever blurring into linear narrative. References to landscape, figure, object and architectural detail appear and dissolve, in a painting made of presences and absences, the visible and the withheld, putting surface and depth, tactility and transparency in tension. The pictorial material itself becomes part of meaning: sedimentation, filter, obstacle and revelation, serving microcosms made up of the solitudes, melancholies and tensions of contemporary human beings
