COMMEMORATION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF JANINA MONKUTĖ-MARKS

With the exhibition “INSPIRATION,” the large-scale installation “SEM: UNIT II” by the duo Perego Patera will be displayed in the museum’s atrium from Sept. 21 to Nov. 11, 2023.

The Janina Monkutė-Marks Art Museum, located in the Kėdainiai district of Lithuania presents the exhibition “Jubilee of the Centenary of the Birth of Janina Monkutė-Marks,” the founder of the museum. She was a renowned Lithuanian artist who created paintings, prints and tapestries and lived in the United States. She founded a nonprofit institution and donated her artwork to Kėdainiai. The museum opened its doors to the public in 2001. Since 2023 it has been a branch of the Kėdainiai Regional Museum.
